Christmas present for a Cardinal

This cake was ordered for a a very special client of the customer. Any guesses?! I was very excited, honored and a little freaked out to make a cake for a cardinals player but I think the final outcome is awesome! I really hope he likes it! They wanted to get him something really unique and I bet no one else will give him this for Christmas.
Here's the back view where I put CARDINALS in really big letters.

Grooms Cake

This was a Grooms cake that I did over the weekend. It's very similar to a cake I did during the Summer for a graduation and I was glad I was able to recreate it and make some small changes. I changed the flames a little bit added the rope trim at the bottom and made the helmet all shiny this time around. I hope the groom loves it and thinks it tastes fabulous! Congratulations!

Mermaid Birthday

This cake was ordered for a little girl's 3rd birthday. I love how the cake turned out except Ariel's face is definitely not my best work. I used fondant for it and I'm sure that's where I went wrong. I didn't have any gum paste at my house which isn't as soft and dries a lot faster than fondant. My little kids loved it so I'm hoping the birthday girl did too. The top layer was an 8 inch white cake with strawberries and cream filling and the bottom was a 10 inch chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse filling. My favorite was the top shell and pearl that I made with fondant and covered them in shimmer dust. The other shells I made with white chocolate and dusted with shimmer dust they looked so life like. Everyone thought they were real. I thought it turned out so cute and fun!

Elegant Outdoor Wedding

This cake was for one of the young women I used to teach at church and now she is married!!! She is so amazing and I'm so happy for her! I just can't believe she is married now. I'm getting so old! Anyways, the reception was in her parents backyard and it was very beautiful. Her favorite color is purple so the cake had purple fondant ribbon and a big bow on top. Both pictures are such poor quality that it doesn't show the real color of the fondant. The bottom 3 tiers were fake and I thought it turned out so beautiful. Congratulations Lauren!

Pink & Brown Bridal Shower

I did this cake over the weekend for a bridal shower and totally spaced taking a picture of it so I must say THANK YOU KIM for emailing me one. The bottom tier was chocolate cake with layers of raspberries and chocolate butter cream and the top was white cake with layers of strawberries and strawberry mousse. Very Yummy! I'm so excited to do the grooms cake for her wedding as well! Stay tuned!

Red Sox Fan!

This cake turned out so freaking awesome! I know I always say it but the pictures really don't do it justice. The client ordered it for her fiance's 25th birthday and he is a huge red sox fan. It would have been really fun to see his reaction to his cake. I think he'll like it;)

Bridal Shower

This cake was ordered for a bridal shower and I tried my best to have it reflect the bride to be. Her wedding colors are cobalt blue(brides favorite color) and lavender(grooms favorite color). The design on the cake is actually the brides own art work that she created for the invitations. Hopefully she liked it!
