Romantic vintage seems so be very trendy right now with weddings along with ruffles. My sister requested ruffles on her cake and I was a little hesitant at first about this request. They had to share a cake this year and it was a little difficult to come up with something that wasn't too girly or too boyish. This was my sister's wedding cake from a week ago. She told me she wanted something VERY VERY traditional with a little bit of her colors and I loved the outcome. I was originally going to put fresh flowers on the top and even ordered them. But when I put them on top it just didn't look right. The print on the top tier is from the fabric used in the crib bedding. I was originally going to do the bottom tier in the same print but it took FOREVER to hand cut all the detail so I decided to go another route and it turned out really cute. I love this cake! It's so simple and elegant. I tinted the fondant ribbon and then added a pearl shimmer to make it stand out. Most of the cakes I've done lately have been semi fake but this was all real and I forgot how heavy they are! This was a Grooms cake that I did over the weekend. It's very similar to a cake I did during the Summer for a graduation and I was glad I was able to recreate it and make some small changes. I changed the flames a little bit added the rope trim at the bottom and made the helmet all shiny this time around. I hope the groom loves it and thinks it tastes fabulous! Congratulations!

I did this cake over the weekend for a bridal shower and totally spaced taking a picture of it so I must say THANK YOU KIM for emailing me one. This cake was ordered for a bridal shower and I tried my best to have it reflect the bride to be. Her wedding colors are cobalt blue(brides favorite color) and lavender(grooms favorite color). The design on the cake is actually the brides own art work that she created for the invitations. Hopefully she liked it!

All I can say is ,WOW, my camera stinks! The lighting must have been horrible because this cake was actually a lilac color and the bow and beads were a dark purple. The picture makes it look blue. It was really cute and for a mother who loves purple. I hope they had a wonderful celebration!

This cake was ordered for a birthday party and the birthday girl is one popular lady! It started out a single 10 inch cake then increased to 2 tiers and the final verdict was this. I loved it though because 3 tiered cakes are so much more fun to do! She didn't want fondant so we did buttercream instead and a few fondant accents and a big sparkly bow on top. This cake was ordered to celebrate a few different occassions and I ended up keeping it very simple so it wasn't too crazy. The parent's are leaving to serve a mission in Germany, hence the German flag colors and the writing is "called to serve" in German. Here's some cute mini's I did over the weekend. It was for a birthday party for two friends so we did identical zebra prints with their initials on top. The third one was for a centerpiece and we just incorporated all the colors together. On a side note, I'm open for new orders!!! Yeah!!! This was the second cake I've delivered to the Wright House and it was decorated so beautifully! I loved her colors and style of cake she wanted. This was another fake cake I did with the top tier being real. You have to have some real cake to smash into each other's face! Not me though, I didn't let my husband do that.
